ABOUT

Design a brandstore/coffeeshop for a plant based bakery.

After 1 years Sharp Sharp wanted to open their first brandstore since they wanted to tell their story and showcase their products in a place available to customers daily.

Creating a beautiful cakebar where you could eat cakes as well as drinks that fits the brands identity. With durable materials, up cycled furniture, transparency with a window into the bakery and showcasing all ingredients used in the products.

Creating new hot drinks like our flower latte’s, showcase products of brands we loved to support as well as tell our story through a well trained team with the same brand & core values as Sharp Sharp.

It’s a multi disciplinary design case, from the food, to packaging to customer experience. While making sure everything felt like something you want to have or eat by flirting with the customers green heart.

The location choosing was in an upcoming neighbourhood of Rotterdam, where we aim to be a store where everyone is welcome, looking for interaction with social projects in the neighbourhood, which we got nominated for by our social efforts for the city. We gave free workshops to children, invited parents to feel welcome and worked with social initiatives for more exposure for the area.

GOAL

To share the story of Sharp Sharp in a beautifully designed store while also being a place for people to connect with each other. To even grow Sharp Sharp into a stronger brand for a better future for all.

Achieved: 

A cozy brandstore which grew to small in 2 years due to it’s popularity while becoming a place for like minded people meet and work together for a more just world for all its inhabitants.

Lessons learned:

When your team become employees instead of fellow fighters for a better world, you need to start build a better team.

Fun facts: 

The rhino became the spirit animal of Sharp Sharp as it’s also vegan but super strong and beautiful. We used a rhino symbol on our packaging & in our store to draw attention to an almost endangered animal as well as a joke to vegans being strong by living only on plant food.
