About:

Create an innovative food brand focused on sustainability & inclusion through new & better food. The goal is to creating awareness for plant based food for a better world and all it’s inhabitants. Sharing an happy activist message through beautiful designed food and story telling. 

With beautiful food styling, photography, ethical choices we attracted customers to enjoy our delicious products. Using both skillsets of being a super foodie who loves to create food & the love for beautiful designs, we create a unique signature product our: onze Plaatjes. Our famous colourful delicious square cakes.

By changing the way people make food choices we made impact not only on the suppliers side but also on which products should be on the market. We delivered our food throughout Europe and became a known love brand in the Netherlands.

Fun facts: 

Sharp Sharp! Is a South African saying for cool, love and wish you well. It became the name for our company to be positive and impact driven for a better world for all.

Goal: 

To change the world through food with beautiful designed bakery products that are a celebration to everyone. To become the Ben & Jerry’s from the bakery industry.

Achieved: 

Sharp Sharp grew really fast to a team of 15 people with a brandstore and lunchroom, supplying through B2B as well as to the (online) biggest retailers of the NL. Loved in the Netherlands as well as in other countries in Europe. We sold over 3 million cakes. 

With social media following of over 15 K as well as up to 10 K unique vistors on our website monthly. With a up to 4 million euro turnover in the running of the company.

Lessons learned: 

When you want to tell to many stories on to many platforms, it’s harder to reach your target audience and create the big ripple you want to achieve. While staying true to your believes and not letting go of your brand values it can become hard to reach everyone.

Nominated for: vegan awards for best food concept / ketelbinky: social award for food concept / border session award for food concept / won: 2nd price in retailcompetion for best food product. Won: houtenkroot for best up & coming food concept
